Stamp City was started in 1992 by Phil & Glenys Given in their modest unit at 157 Pah Road, Epsom. In 1996 the business was moved from the home situation to a business premises at 499 Manukau Road, Epsom. Shortly after the move they purchased the Trotec Laser Engraver, which allowed them to expand the business into name badges and small signage. This laser was specifically designed to cut rubber dies for stamps, but in the true Kiwi spirit, Phil and Glenys adapted the machine to cut many other items.
In early 1999, Warren & Deidre New bought Stamp City Epsom. Phil stayed on for a while and taught Warren all he knew. Phil & Glenys then went off into retirement up in the Winterless North.
In July 2001 Stamp City moved from 499 Manukau Road to 6/2 Claude Road, Epsom and then in February 2015 to its current location at 56A Princes Street, Onehunga. The business still concentrates on Stamps (Business, Personal, Crafting and Tattoo), small signage (up to 600 mm x 300 mm), Name Badges, Wax seals, Embossing Presses, General Laser Engraving (Non Metallic) and repairing stamps. Near the end of 2018 we bought a sublimation printer, so now we can print a wide range of products too.
We are proudly owned and operated by Kiwi’s and are a friendly crew. Customers are always welcome to drop in or call us. Sometimes it is easier for us to show you how a stamping solution can suit your application.
If you have a stamping requirement, contact us, as we are the experts. If it can be done with a stamp, we can do it for you.
What we provide
At Stamp City we use only high quality products. In the main we use the Trodat brand, as they are the biggest stamp manufacturer in the world and have the best range of products. We find that Trodat and the New Zealand importers are very easy to deal with and their products are dispatched to us the same day as they are ordered, meaning we can generally supply our customers within our two day turnaround time.
The Original Printy 4.0 doesn’t just impress with its appealing design—it’s also the world’s first climate-neutral stamp! In comparison with the previous model, 49%* CO2 is saved during manufacture. The residual, unavoidable CO2 footprint compensated by investment in Gold Standard climate protection projects recommended by the WWF®.

Stamp City at Play
For those of you who don’t know us at all, I have been involved with Road Racing Motorcycles for most of my life. Stamp City & Trodat (through ACME Office supplies) sponsor our race team.
Recently we took the Race Bike to Sydney Motorsport Park for the Barry Sheene Festival of Speed. While we spent the best part of a day & a half chasing a mysterious high rev misfire, we did track it down and rectify the problem. The NZ Team won the International Challenge, beating the Aussies.
Here are couple of photo’s of our bike over the weekend. Many thanks to Doug Cornes and Craig Dawson. These two were the Team Photographers, who also turned out to be pretty good with Tools and were all round “Good Buggers”!!
